The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,123 from 14,999 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on May 8.
478 were confirmed from PCR and 645 from antigen tests.
The latest cases registered in the districts are as follows:

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 409,495.
The active cases are 44,739.
Of the total, 5,855 patients are in hospitals, 570 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
· 2,381 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 347,870;
· 38,117 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 877,124;
· 86 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 16,886.
