On October 20, the demands of the protesters remain unchanged - resignation of the government, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev, early parliamentary elections, machine and remote voting.
The protest began with a call for the removal of the requirement for wearing masks because, according to the protesters, this anti-epidemic means of protection against coronavirus does not work and only creates bacteria.
Shortly after 8:30 pm, the protesters marched to Eagles’ Bridge.
Earlier today, the main organisers from the so called “Poisonous Trio” invited all non-parliamentary political forces to a working meeting in order to develop a network of rules to ensure fair and transparent parliamentary elections. The reasons are that the election process so far has been repeatedly vitiated by the government, and at the same time the law enforcement agencies have not taken any measures.
The “Poisonous Trio” also said that after these election rules are drafted, they will be made public so that every member of the public can get familiar with them and even give their opinion on the issue.
