The traffic of heavy goods vehicles over 12 tonnes has been restricted on Road I-1 (E-79) Sofia–Kulata, via the Kulata–Promachonas border crossing, and on Road II-19 Simitli–Gotse Delchev, via the Ilinden–Exochi crossing, due to protests by Greek citizens, Bulgaria’s Road Infrastructure Agency said on Deember 17.

Meanwhile, Bulgarian haulage companies have referred the blockade by Greek farmers to Greece’s Prosecutor General.
The strike by Greek farmers has now entered its fifteenth day.
