Heavy Goods Vehicles Traffic Restricted Again at Bulgaria–Greece Border Crossings amid Greek Farmers’ Protests

Traffic for motor vehicles weighing more than 12 tonnes has been restricted on Road I-1 (E79) Sofia–Kulata at kilometre 441, at the Kulata–Promachonas border crossing, due to a protest by Greek citizens. This was announced by Bulgaria’s Road Infrastructure Agency on December 15.

The Agency added that the passage of heavy goods vehicles has also been restricted on Road II-19 Simitli–Gotse Delchev at kilometre 106, at the Ilinden–Exochi border crossing.

The strike by Greek farmers has now been continuing for 13 days.
