The Grand Final of the 62nd edition of Eurovision song contest will take place tonight, 13th of May, in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv.
Bulgaria will be represented by Kristian Kostov and the song Beautiful Mess.
Kristian will be performing the song under #25 in tonight’s schedule of the Grand Final.
Beautiful Mess was one of the 10 songs to reach the final from the semi-final on 11th of May.
All 42 countries participating in the 2017 Eurovision contest will have the possibility to vote at the Grand Final.
According to the voting rules of the contest, viewers in the countries of the participating broadcasters can vote for their favourite songs, without the possibility of voting for the song representing their own country. Therefore it will not be possible to vote for the Bulgarian song from Bulgaria, but only for the rest of the participants.
All Bulgarians in the countries allowed to vote will have the possibility to cast their vote for the Bulgarian entry Beautiful Mess and Kristian Kostov.
If you are in a country where voting is allowed, please, make sure you follow the voting details on how to vote, which the local broadcaster will display on the TV screen.
If you wish to support the Bulgarian entry, you can send number 25 via SMS to the number of the mobile operator specified on the screen of the local broadcaster. Viewers have the right to vote up to 20 times on a mobile number. The cost of the SMS is different for each country. The viewers will also be given the opportunity to vote through the free Eurovision mobile app.
The voting window opens after the last song has been performed, and ends 35 minutes later.
A total of 26 countries will participate in the final – the 20 winners from the two semi-finals, the representatives of the host country Ukraine and the ‘big five’ (founders and main sponsors of the competition), which automatically qualify for the Grand Final - France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Professional juries in each of the 42 countries decided their vote based on the dress rehearsal, which was held the night before the main show. They account for 50% of the overall total.
After all 42 countries have revealed their jury points live on air, the viewers’ votes from each of those countries will be added up and then the acts with the lowest to highest scores will be revealed, eventually revealing the winner in the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest.
Bulgaria reached the Eurovision final twice before: back in 2007 with Elitsa Todorova and Stoyan Yankulov and their entry Water, when they took 5th place and in 2016, when Poli Genova performing the song If Love Was a Crime, was voted into 4th place at the Grand Final of the 61st edition of Eurovision in Stockholm, Sweden
