The 17 miners from Obrochishte mine, who on 1st of June refused to leave the mine and stayed 300 metres underground, remained in the galleries on 2nd of June. The reason for their protest is again delayed wages and food vouchers.
Just two months after the miners' latest strike, they are again protesting - some of them underground and others outside the mine’s administrative building.
Although they have signed a collective agreement with the employer - concessionaire, they say that no point of it has been fulfilled. Therefore, they urge the government and institutions to intervene and end the concession for the manganese deposit.
The workers say they want to work, but under different management.
