An increase in pensions and maternity benefits is planned for the second year

окончателно 660euro минимална заплата догодина

The deficit in the State Public Social Insurance budget will be offset through increased oversight and revenue-raising measures. This was announced by the Minister of Labour and Social Policy. Natalia Efremova said that pensions are expected to be uprated from 1 July in line with the Swiss Rule.

The government has decided that the minimum monthly wage will rise to €660 from 1 January 2027. The maximum insurable earnings threshold is also expected to increase by €100, the Minister of Labour and Social Policy announced.

Natalia Efremova, Minister of Labor and Social Policy: “Raising the minimum and maximum social security thresholds generates more revenue for the Social Security Fund’s budget; unfortunately, these thresholds are not sufficient, since the increases are not very large, but rather by as much as people, citizens, and businesses can bear. Revenue-raising measures will involve greater oversight, strengthening social security contribution revenues and tackling the shadow economy."

The maternity allowance for the second year of parental leave is expected to increase from €398 to €450.

Natalia Efremova, Minister of Labour and Social Policy: "The allowance payable to mothers who return to work will increase from 50% to 75%."

The government is preparing a package of measures to tackle fraudulent decisions issued by the Territorial Expert Medical Commissions (TELK). These decisions will be issued under new rules. The method of determining the percentage of reduced working capacity will also be revised. Amendments to the Personal Assistance Act are also being prepared.

Natalia Efremova, Minister of Labour and Social Policy: "This will enable us to bring these measures together, tackle fraudulent TELK decisions and, at the same time, ensure that people who need support receive it in full and, where appropriate, at an even higher level that better reflects their needs."

The new rules are expected to take effect next year.
