Minimum wage in Bulgaria will rise to BGN 510 (Euro 255) as of 1st of January 2018. This has been set out in the mid-term budget forecast, which the Minister of Finance released on 12th of May.

The document also projetcs the minimum wage to further go up to BGN 560 (euro 280) in 2019 and to BGN 610 (euro 305) in 2020.
According to the outlook, teachers’ salaries are envisaged to increase by two-fold until 2022, but no specific steps were described in the document.
