“The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) will always defend the independence of Bulgaria’s political system," MRF leader Mustafa Karadayi said in a briefing commenting the results of the 26th of March parliamentary elections.
“Our battle was in a competitive environment with all participants in these elections," he said.
Mustafa Karadayi thanked the voters who supported MRF and assured them their vote was not cast in vain. We would confirm that it is very important now to have stability and security in Bulgaria, he noted. Commenting on GERB’s victory, he expressed hope that GERB learned their lesson from the two unfinished terms in office.
Answering a question about which contest was more important to MRF – the one with the United Patriots or the one with DOST, Karadayi said: “There is a particularity - you may call them United Patriots, but through your cameras we saw their actions at the border and I think exactly because of these actions the Council of Europe described them as fascists."
