Some 946 police officers will take care of the security at the Bulgarian Black Sea coastal resorts in the summer, Interior Minister Valentin Radev said in Parliament on 2nd of June.
He added that about 80 more police officers would be seconded to the resorts this summer, compared to 2016.
Radev said the model that had been chosen in the last three years to protect the Black Sea coast had been successful, and therefore would stay in place.
He said there was a plan for the Ministry of interior to protect public order and counteract crimes in the resorts even for the forthcoming 2018 winter season. He added that the joint patrols with police officers from neighbouring countries would continue.
