Diesel prices fell by 2 euro cents on a daily basis to €1.72 per litre, reaching their lowest level in the past 40 days, according to the National Revenue Agency.
The fuel was last traded at a lower price on 3 April, when it stood at €1.71 per litre.
Meanwhile, the average price of A95 petrol remains unchanged compared with the previous week and, as of 14 May, is being sold at €1.50 per litre.
The reported prices include discounts offered by fuel stations.
