He also said that he thought the three armed services should be rearmed in parallel. The prime Minister said he had repeatedly discussed the subject with the Defence Minister, Krassimir Karakachanov, who commented that the rearmament deal was worth a billion and a half and that he would like the debate about it to be held in Parliament and be completely transparent to the public.
“We will negotiate with three countries for new aircraft,” Prime Minister Boyko Borissov told journalists in Parliament later during the day, as quoted by BGNES. He pointed out that the F-16, Eurofighter, Gripen, MiG, Su had factories and produced new aircraft.
