On 2nd of May, Bulgaria’s caretaker Prime Minister Ognyan Gerdzhikov reported on the work done by the caretaker cabinet. Along with the conduct of the early parliamentary elections and the work on Bulgaria’s forthcoming Presidency of the Council of the EU, the PM reported on the work done by each ministry. He said that detailed reports would be published on the government’s website on 3rd of May.
He believes his cabinet has fulfilled meaningful commitments with a positive impact on the stability of the state, the lives of people and business.
He reported higher revenue collection in comparison with the same period last year, a drop in crimes, introduction of a single state exam for law students and many others.
"The government has left a surplus of over BGN 1.6 billion in the state treasury. The budget revenue amounts to BGN 785 million. This speaks of a well-functioning economy," Gerdzhikov said.
The relevant deputy PMs presented in detail the work of the government on the main priorities.
