In the 14th consecutive edition of the rating system of higher education institutions in Bulgaria with up-to-date information from 2024, Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" ranks first in 22 professional fields in which it trains students. This was reported by the higher education institution.
The latest edition of the rating system was presented on October 29 at the Ministry of Education and Science by caretaker Education and Science Minister Galin Tsokov and Georgi Stoychev of the OSI-S Consortium, which consists of the Open Society Institute - Sofia and Sirma Group Holding and operates the Bulgarian University Ranking System.
Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" is in the first place in 22 professional fields, in which it trains students - "Biological Sciences", "Biotechnologies", "Economics", "Informatics and Computer Science", "History and Archaeology", "Mathematics", "Earth Sciences", "Public Communications and Information Sciences", "Pedagogy", "Pedagogy of... ", "Political Sciences", "Law", "Psychology", "Religion and Theology", "Social Activities", "Sociology, Anthropology and Cultural Sciences", "Theory and Management of Education", "Tourism", "Physical Sciences", "Philology", "Philosophy" and "Chemical Sciences", in the next edition of the Rating System of Higher Education Institutions in Bulgaria with up-to-date information from 2024.
The annual ranking compares 51 higher education institutions that offer hundreds of programmes across 52 professional fields, based on dozens of indicators which measure various aspects of the educational process, scientific activity, the learning environment, welfare and administrative services, prestige and regional importance of the higher education institutions, as well as the graduates' career relevance to the labour market.
