Surprising snowfall in Shipka pass, central Bulgaria, caused some minor accidents on 10th of March. No one was injured. The snowfall caught many drivers by surprise. Some were driving with summer tyres and this was the reason for the accidents. Specialists say that the winter tyres should be changed to summer tyres in April.
The company responsible for the maintenance of the pass has taken measures to remove the snow and spread sand. Trafic police advise drivers to be cautious on the roads and take into account the changing weather conditions.
