The government of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov will continue promoting the policies contained in the 2017 state budget. Therefore, we do not plan to withdraw it from the National Assembly, Bulgaria’s Minister of Finance, Vladislav Goranov, said in a position released by the press office of the Ministry of Finance on 14th of November.
We leave it to the Members of Parliament to take a responsible approach to the debates thereon and to decide on its adoption.
The government is not abandoning any of the policies it has been pursuing since it came into power two years ago. For us, they remain relevant and we will continue working on their implementation while we execute our power, he noted.
Our strong conviction, whereto we have adhered over the last two years, is that the budget should not be kept hostage of unscrupulous political opposition. We will not allow it to fall victim to populism, too, the position said.
