There were 120 passengers on the train
Train service along Sofia - Varna route was disrupted due to a fire on the locomotive, the Chirpan municipality said on September 18.
No one has been injured, but there was material damage to the locomotive that caught fire along a stretch near the station of Chirpan, Mayor Ivaylo Kracholov said.
The locomotive was part of the train travelling on the Sofia - Varna line. The train was carrying 120 people who will be transported to Stara Zagora, the mayor added.
