Two inmates who absconded from an open prison in the city of Lovech have been apprehended, police in the city confirmed to BNT on November 3.
The two were serving short sentences at an open prison in the city. A report of their escape was received at around 18:00 on Sunday. One of the men was apprehended near the facility an hour later, while the second was caught on a street in Lovech shortly before 02:00.
The two runaway inmates have been returned to the “Poligona” open prison.
