Immediately after the official announcement of the first exit poll results of the 26th of March elections, from coalition “United Patriots - NFSB, Ataka and IMRO" commented that they expected a much higher percent of the vote. The co-leader Valeri Simeonov said the coalition would support a future government, which would have more priorities than the programme of United Patriots. Valeri Simeonov said they would negotiate and when the negotiations were completed, he would announce whether they would participate in the government.
The United Patriots co-leader and leader of of NFSB party, Valeri Simeonov, told BNT that they wanted to see the official results of the elections and then decide how the negotiations with the parties offering them coalition would proceed.
According to him, the United Patriots coalition does not have the ambition to be in power at any cost, but to do their work. “Power is not the most important, people will judge us by what we have done, not whether we held 2-5 ministerial seats or how many times we appeared in the media and how glamorous we look. The important is what work we will do,” he said.
