Voter turnout in Bulgaria’s 6th of November 2016 presidential elections and national referendum is 40% by 16:00.
Although the voting began an hour later than usual, the turnout is higher in comparison with previous elections. It is expected to gradually increase by the end of the Election Day.
40% voted for the candidates for President and 35% voted in the national referendum.
Voting in the presidential election is compulsory but this does not apply to the national referendum
