An investigation has been launched into the case
A worker has died following the collapse of a retaining wall at a construction site in Stara Zagora (Southern Bulgaria) on December 16.
The incident occurred today, December 16, around midday at a site in the early stages of construction. According to initial reports, several workers were present on site at the time.
During the collapse, a mass of earth buried one of the workers. His colleagues reacted immediately and were able to pull him out of the soil.
An emergency medical team arrived on the scene and transported the injured man to hospital. Despite the efforts of doctors, he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.

Labour inspectors and the police are examining the circumstances of the accident and whether all workplace safety regulations were observed at the construction site.
