Thirty-eight people, including protesters and police, with various injuries, were treated by emergency medical services until 15:15, the Head of Sofia emergency medical services Dr Georgi Gelev told a briefing in the afternoon on September 2.

Six of the 38 people were admitted to hospital.

Bulgarian National Television reporter Nikolai Minkov, was also among the injured. He was affected by pepper spray while covering the vents from the protests. Minkov was treated at Tsaritsa Joanna hospital (ISUL) in Sofia.

The Emergency Service received more than 50 signals, and separately there are about 30, which turned out to be completely false, said Dr. Gelev. He explained that there are many signals on this hot day and that people should not abuse the service by reporting false signals.

Two medical and fire brigades are constantly present at the protests.

Dr. Gelev denied information about a stabbed police officer - we have not treated such an employee, he explained.

Tsaritsa Yoanna (ISUL) Hospital has given emergency medical treatment to more than 20 people - one civilian with a chest injury, a police officer with a wrist injury, as well as another 10 police officers, 8 civilians and a reporter. They are all discharged. A protester was brought to the Military Medical Academy with the police and admitted to a toxicology clinic. The Ministry of Interior hospital has treated 12 people, 6 of them have been discharged, 6 have various injuries. 8 people were treated in "Pirogov", announced the director of RHI - Sofia Dr. Dancho Penchev.
