The 8th edition of the Sand Sculptures Festival in the Bulgarian Black Sea coastal city of Bourgas was opened on 3rd of July.
This year's theme is “On Safari with a Camera”. The exhibition displays the work of 10 international artists, who transformed more than 5,000 tonnes of sand into giant figures of fauna representatives such as kangaroos, elephants, lions, flamingos and other exotic animals.
Children will have the opportunity to practice their sand sculpting skills at especially organised lessons, which will take place every Saturday in July.
