GERB will hold a national meeting next week, after the second round of the local elections on Sunday, to discuss whether to continue to support the government, GERB leader Boyko Borissov said on November 2.
"We will decide after Sunday. For me, the “assemblage” (referring to the government) does not exist at the moment. We do not have any reasons at the moment, including moral and values," he said.
Borissov criticized the decision of the Council of Ministers to approve the purchase of Stryker armoured vehicles without Parliament's decision.
"They voted for the Strikers yesterday without a parliamentary decision, and they are going to get us into this legal case now - just to show off. I don't know who they're going to show off to, because they might make it all go wrong. There is a legal case - they made a decision yesterday before the National Assembly ruled. What if there is no National Assembly next week? Because they are messing around with all sorts of parties and coalitions just to be against us.
We should be in Parliament on Wednesday - I say we should, but with this unprincipled behaviour (of “We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria”, the power sharing partner in the government), we are yet to see their mockery. We already know who their friends are, they meet in villas and pubs secretly - let them do it. I don't see the point of meeting them anymore. On Wednesday, I will hold a national meeting to decide whether we need to be together anymore," Borissov said.
