The Chairperson of Bulgaria’s Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC), Ivan Ivanov, said on 28th of July that the electricity prices for the new regulatory period would be announced on 31st of July. He explained that the decision on the price increase could not be postponed until 2016 as the business requested.
The new electricity prices will come into force on 1st of August. They will be changed in comparison with the prices proposed a month ago, Ivanov commented. He added that there were changes because certain actions were undertaken.
On 31st of July, when we announce the decision on the electricity prices, we will also announce what changes were made and the effects resulting from these changes, Ivanov noted.
