Bulgaria and the Republic of Korea will strengthen their partnership in areas such as IT technologies, artificial intelligence and space research. This became clear at a meeting of the Minister of Education and Science prof. Galin Tsokov and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Jongin Bae, on November 15.

In December, Korean specialists in the field of artificial intelligence will arrive in Bulgaria. Space researchers will visit next year. They will participate in seminars to help develop these two areas.
"We have a very good example in the field of artificial intelligence. The Bulgarian institute INSAIT at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" has had many achievements in recent months, including at international level," said Prof. Tsokov.
Ambassador Jongin Bae specified that he had visited the institute and personally convinced himself of its standards.
The Minister of Education thanked the Ambassador for his help in the study of Korean in secondary schools in Bulgaria and noted that there is a sustained interest in it by students.
Cooperation between the two countries is developing, both in universities and research. Bulgaria and the Republic of Korea are exchanging students.
