Ivan Iskrov, the Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said on 23rd of June he would resign. In a letter to the Chairperson of Bulgaria’s National Assembly, Iskrov requests the resignation to be considered effective from 10th of July.
A new Governor should assume office on 10th of July 2015, he says in the letter.
Iskrov will step down from the post of BNB Governor three months before the end of his term, which expires on 10th of October 2015.
