Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 225 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 225 from 3,272 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on January 16, 2024.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the pandemic are 1,337,031.

The active cases are 6,863

Of the total, 343 patients are in hospitals, 41 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 92 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 1,291,456

• 63 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to 4,725,342;

• 6 Covid-19 related deaths, bringing the total to 38,712;

Of the daily cases, 65,33% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 50,00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 41 new hospitalisations, of which 48,78% had not been vaccinated.
