The municipal authorities and the police will be checking if the anti-epidemic measures are observed and will not allow gatherings of more than 15 people in one place.
This year, the resorts, which usually are the preferred destinations for celebrations of the students’ holiday, do not have many visitors. Almost all reservations in guests’ houses have been cancelled. Restaurants and bars remain closed in compliance with the order of the health minister. Violations of the rules will be sanctioned. The fine is from 300 to 1,000 BGN for anyone participating in unregulated gatherings and 2,000 BGN for owners of establishments.
The students’ holiday is marked on December 8th. The holiday first started being celebrated in 1903, on occasion of the 15th anniversary of Sofia University and became the holiday of all students in Bulgaria.
