The European Commission and the Bulgarian government have agreed an additional one-month extension of the assessment of the Bulgarian Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The deadline of the previous extension expires today, but today it became clear that the assessment is postponed for until 15 April.
The European Commission said it was engaged in a constructive dialogue with the Bulgarian authorities and was close to finalising work on the plan. The institution expressed hope that the assessment could be ready before 15 April.
After receiving the green light from the European Commission, Bulgaria's plan is subject to approval by the EU finance ministers.
