A government with a clear term in office of four years and GERB leader Boyko Borissov as Prime Minister., this is what GERB and the United Patriots agreed at the first official meeting between the two formations, held in Parliament on 4th of April.
United Patriots co-leader Volen Siderov said that the ministerial seats in the government were not discussed - only the programme points the government would work on.
There will be more talks between the two political formations by the end of the week, but the participants did not say when exactly the new cabinet would be ready.
"We are optimistic. The talks are constructive," Siderov said. He would not say whether the government would be a two- or three-party member coalition, or whether separate coordination agreements would be signed between GERB and each of the United Patriots parties: the National Front for Salvation of Bulgaria of Valeri Simeonov, the IMRO of Krassimir Karakachanov and Siderov's Ataka.
