GERB-UDF was the first to register for October 2 early general elections

GERB-UDF coalition was the first to submit documents for registration to participate in the early parliamentary elections scheduled for on October 2.

GERB and UDF will again stand together in the elections.

Their motive is that in this format they have a strong parliamentary group. GERB-UDF said they would approach responsibly, regardless of whether they are the first, second political force or in opposition. They want to restore credibility in politics.

"We will seek to regain as much of the trust of the Bulgarian citizens as possible. This is our big task, we will conduct a calm, reasonable campaign, we will offer a solution to all the crises in which Bulgaria is mired. For us it is of utmost importance that Bulgaria stops, that it breaks with the use of political charlatanism - saying one thing, doing another. Words in politics should have meaning again. What you say must produce results, must mean something. For the last year, words have lost their meaning in politics because the government, the politicians say one thing and do something else, Tomislav Donchev, GERB deputy leader, said on August 11.
