At the end of February 2023, housing loans amounted to BGN 16.81 billion and increased by 18.1% on annual basis.
Loans to households amounted to BGN 33.45 billion or 19% of GDP at the end of February. Compared to the same month of 2022, they increased by 148%.
In consumer loans, the year-on-year growth was 12.3% and reached BGN 15.2 billion, Bulgarian National Bank data show.
Deposits of households and Non-profit institutions serving households (NPISH) were BGN 72.977 billion (41.3% of GDP) at the end of February 2023. They increased by 8.9% compared to the same month of 2022.
