JUNIOR EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2015 LOGO REVEALED

At a meeting in Sofia on 23rd of June, the official logo of 2015 Junior Eurovison Song Contest was presented to the Eurovision Song Contest's Steering Group and was approved by its members. The event is scheduled to take place in Sofia’s Armeec Arena on 21st of November.

The meeting also discussed various versions of how the stage and venue would look like, as well as the content and video materials which broadcaster Bulgarian National Television (BNT) will show to viewers.

Director General of BNT, Viara Ankova, described the concept behind the logo, that "through creativity we are all curious and inquisitive, which means that we start to discover the world around us. From our experiences we discover our inner selves, our passions and our aspirations. We live in a technological world with horizons and opportunities ever expanding."

This led the creative team to the logo itself, which is a technological flower based on the idea of a dandelion being blown - something that everyone has done as a child.

The logo is inspired by the beauty of the Bulgarian nature and by Bulgarian young people’s dreams for the future. It also features this year's slogan, which is #discover.

Executive Supervisor Vladislav Yakovlev says the most important from the meeting is that the logo of the contest has been chosen. All 73 EBU members have been invited to participate in the contest in Sofia, he added. Some have already confirmed, others are still considering the possibility to take part, he explained. We are sure BNT will stage a fantastic show, Yakovlev added.

Entertainment and lots of fun. This is how the show producer Gordon Bonello described his expectations about the 2015 Junior Eurovision song contest. The aim is Bulgaria to be rediscovered not only by the European viewers, but by all the people in the world, he said. Gordon hopes that many young talents will perform on the stage of Arena Armeec.

Broadcaster BNT is currently involved in the preparation for this year’s edition of the junior contest. The organizers expect more participants in the show this autumn as the Junior Eurovision has gained more and more popularity over the past few years.
