Bulgaria’s 52nd National Assembly on May 7 begins work.
This week’s parliamentary agenda includes a draft decision on the establishment of an ad-hoc committee tasked with preparing the Rules of Procedure and Organisation of the new Parliament.
Lawmakers are also expected to hear from caretaker Finance Minister Georgi Klisurski, who is due to provide information on the current state of the country’s finances, including the size of the budget deficit, domestic and external debt, and the risk of delays in payments linked to the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The parliamentary programme also envisages the creation of two additional ad-hoc committees — one on budget and finance and another on legal affairs.
