Owners of vehicles and properties are now offered a new option for online payment of their taxes through the website of the Bulgarian National Revenue Agency (NRA).
The service is available for the municipalities of Sofia, Plovdiv, Veliko Turnovo and Varna. Other municipalities will be included in the electronic system in the next months, NRA says.
To make the payment, individuals need to have a Personal Identification Code (PIC), which is issued at the NRA offices, for free.
In addition to the online payment of taxes, individuals can also make online checks on the type and amount of taxes they owe. The service is accessible via the new online platform, built jointly with the Ministry of Finance and connected with 200 municipalities in Bulgaria.
