Demonstrations took place in central Sofia and in several major cities across the country on December 18.
The protests, organised by 'We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria', were motivated by claims that the governing majority once again attempted to bring the regular state budget, drafted by the outgoing cabinet of Rosen Zhelyazkov, forward for debate and a vote.
The protesters are calling for fair elections and changes to the Electoral Code.
