The measure is valid until May and is aimed at improving safety in the section towards Varna
From today until May, heavy goods vehicles will be restricted from using the active and overtaking lanes on the lane towards Varna, between kilometres 1 and 8 of the Hemus Motorway. The measure aims to improve road safety during the winter months due to poor road surface conditions.
Heavy goods vehicles will be allowed to use the emergency lane on this section of the motorway, with a maximum permitted speed of 90 km/h.
