In the period from 15 May to 2 June, employees of the General Directorate “ Inspection for State Technical Supervision” together with employees of the General Directorate “Market Supervision” at the State Agency for Metrological and Technical Supervision (SAMTS) carried out inspections of outdoor swimming pools throughout the country.
The inspectors checked the compliance with the requirements for proper and safe technical operation and maintenance of the in-ground elements, filtration and pumps of the swimming pools - either stand-alone or adjacent to accommodation facilities.
320 entities operating swimming pools and 676 swimming pools were inspected. As a result, 297 mandatory written warnings were issued for non-compliance with the relevant legislation.
The relevant authorities will continue to carry out inspections to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Ordinance and the obligations of owners and operators of swimming pools.
