A bus carrying 33 Bulgarian tourists caught fire while travelling in northern Greece on May 25. All passengers are fine, the tour operator Tanya Lazarova, who organized the group's excursion, told BNT.
The people were travelling to the town of Krushevo when they smelled a slight odour of smoke. The driver immediately stopped the bus, everyone got off, and minutes later it burst into flames.
“Everyone is safe, there are no injuries, some of the passengers managed to take their personal belongings," Lazarova explained.
Another bus was sent to collect the group of passengers and transport them to Blagoevgrad. The most likely cause of the fire is a technical malfunction.
