United Patriots coalition will want ministerial posts in the future cabinet, the leader of IMRO party (a constituent member of United Patriots) Krasimir Karakachanov told BNT on 29th of March. He reiterated the suggestion of the co-leader of the United Patriots, Valeri Simeonov, who on 28th of March said that a broad coalition between GERB, BSP and United Patriots would be a successful formula for the governance of the country.
Karakachanov, however, was skeptical that this could happen. From the headquarters of the Socialist Party reiterated the words of their leader Kornelia Ninova, who on the election night said that the Socialists would not participate in a broad coalition government with GERB.
For the patriots participation in power is not an end in itself, Karakachanov noted. He said it is important for them to have a clear programme for governance. The priorities they stick to include raising pensions, curbing preporty crime, economic development, demography. If agreement is reached, this time the Patriots will want to have ministers in the cabinet to defend their policies in government, he said.
