After several signals for dead dolphins found on the shores of the Bulgarian Black Sea coastline, volunteers initiated counting of the sea-dwelling mammals. The aim is to prepare an electronic map showing the locations and the health of the dolphins.
The joint project is an initiative of the organization “Green Balkans” and the Executive Environment Agency. The organisers believe that the analysis of such information will bring clarification to the causes of the dolphins’ death.
