Ten people were detained in a special police raid in Bourgas region. Three of those arrested are suspected of trading votes for the upcoming elections on April 2. The operation was carried out in several municipalities in the district.
One of those arrested is from the Dolno Ezerovo district of Bourgas. A notebook with names and personal data was seized. The others arrested are in Pomorie. The police seized notebooks with names.


In Sungurlare, a person is being checked for usury. There are reports that people are being persuaded to vote for a particular political party in exchange for debt forgiveness. According to the police, the cost of a vote in Bourgas region is currently around BGN 50.
"A total of 15 signals in this regard are being checked, which are on the territory of the town of Pomorie, the town of Sungurlare, the town of Bourgas and Kameno. Commercial establishments are also being checked, where there may be some evidence of crimes. Colleagues found notebooks on the spot containing personal data of persons lending money and goods on credit. The involvement of the person in this type of crime and everything related to it is being checked," explained Commissioner Marin Dimitrov, head of the Security Police and Traffic Police - Bourgas.
