24 parties and 7 coalitions registered to take part in October 2 snap elections

A total of 24 parties and 7 coalitions have registered at the Central Election Commission to take part in the October 2 early parliamentary elections. The deadline for submission of documents was 17:00, today, August 17, 2022

In the previous snap elections, there were 22 registered parties and 7 coalitions.

Now it remains to be seen whether "We Continue the Change" and "Democratic Bulgaria" will stand together in the October 2 elections and what numbers the contestants for the 48th National Assembly will draw on their ballots.

Only those coalitions of parties, which registered within the deadline, can submit applications by August 27 to reflect changes that have occurred in the coalition's composition - the departure of a party or the inclusion of a new party.
