A day after her 80th birthday on 15th of December, the world renowned Bulgarian opera singer, Raina Kabaivanska, celebrated with friends and media. The opera diva presented her master class students, who will perform in a charity concert on 18th of December in the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.
As a recognition to her work, the Bulgarian National Television presented Raina Kabaivanska with a copy of her performances, which were kept in the BNT’s Golden Archive and with the film “A Portray of a Prima Donna”, dedicated to her 80th birthday anniversary.

Raina Kabaivanska is often called the “Divine” and “the school of Kabaivanska”. Especially for the jubilee gala concert, her master class students from the United States, Italy, Spain and Korea will arrive to perform in honour of her anniversary.
In celebration of the occasion, a new album was released with a collection of rare performances and arias by the soprano diva. The Sofia Municipality will provide a scholarship for one participant in the annual master class of Kabaivnska in Italy.
Kabaivanska says that regretfully, the world is no longer in tune of culture. She encourages her students to display the highest professional standards on stage. The diva is grateful she can contribute to the world and develop the talent of so many opera singers.
