A woman was mauled to death by a pack of dogs in the town of Dolna Oryahovitsa, Northern Bulgaria. The 41-year-old woman was found lifeless on a street early this morning, March 30.
She worked at the municipal hospital in the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa and was coming home from a night shift.
She was attacked by a pack of about 10 dogs. She was found dead and with multiple lacerations on her body.
People who live on this street say that for years they have had a problem with a neighbour who kept stray and unregistered dogs in his yard.
The dogs that attacked and mauled the woman have been captured and are under constant police surveillance. Investigations into the case are on-going. While authorities search for the causes and the culprits, the fact remains that a mother lost her life leaving behind a 15-year-old son.
