A woman died in a road accident involving a heavy goods vehicle and a car on the main road E-79 on June 22.
The accident occurred on the road near the city of Blagoevgrad, South Western Bulgaria. The deceased, a 60-year-old woman from Blagoevgrad who was driving the car, caused the accident.

The road was temporarily closed to traffic. Trucks are waiting on the spot, and the traffic of cars was diverted through the residential area of "Strumsko" - village Dolno Tserovo - village Zheleznitsa - Simitli.

According to initial information, she drove into the oncoming lane, on which the large truck was travelling, the truck driver tried to pull over, but could not avoid the collision. The suspicions are that the woman fainted or became distracted and lost control of her vehicle.

She died at the scene. The truck driver was not injured. He was given a drug and alcohol test and the results are pending. The truck is still on the road, it will be moved any moment with special equipment.
Traffic has been diverted to the detour route.
