Russia is ready to restore gas supplies to Bulgaria if Sofia wishes, Russian Ambassador Eleonora Mitrofanova said on July 28, as quoted by Russian media.
In her words, the contract with Gazprom is valid until the end of the year. "Therefore, in her words, at any moment Bulgaria decides to pay under the scheme announced by Gazprom, the supplies will be restored."
All this is possible and depends on political will and a serious dose of pragmatism, Mitrofanova added.
