Representatives of Bulgarian businesses request the relevant authorities to speed up the process of issuing blue cards. The topic was discussed at the National Economic Council on 12th of May.
The blue card is a document, issued to highly qualified specialists from countries outside the EU, who want to take employment in Bulgaria. At the moment, it takes approximately nine months for the issuance of the card.
In the presence of the Bulgarian Minister of the Economy, Bozhidar Lukarski, the business representatives suggested that any necessary changes to the law be initiated in order that the process of issuing blue cards takes no longer than one or two months.
