On 12th of February, the Budget and Finance Committee in Bulgaria’s Parliament approved taking a new loan of 8 billion and 100 milliion euro, backed by the votes of the ruling centre-right GERB and the Reformist Bloc.
The opposition sharply criticized the Ministry of Finance, saying that it would dramatically increase the indebtedness of the country and that according to official data, from the beginning of the crisis until now, the government debt had doubled.
